The College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) through the Philippine Nurses Student Association (PNSA) successfully conducted an Orientation Program for the preparation of the Related Learning Experiences of Level I students. It was held at the New Media Hall, Ben A. Nicolas Building on March 02, 2023.
Prof. Imelda Dawang, Head of the Nursing Department, ensured the students that Northwestern University (NWU) will bring out the best in them through the Institutional Philosophy, Vision, Mission, Objective (IPVMO), and Core Values.
โYou should also play your role as a responsible nursing students so that you will also become successful as future nurses,โ she prompted.
Prof. Charliemane A. Bullalayao, Dean of the College of Health and Sciences (CAHS) also reminded that the students will not be exposed yet in the clinical setting, but they have to master all the skills needed in preparation for their venture to a higher level of education.
Subsequently, Prof. Wiljohn Dela Cruz, Level II Chairman of the Nursing Department, presented the Related Learning Experiences (RLE) Guidelines while Prof. Aprile D. Rabbon discussed the grading system to the crowd of nursing students.
To conclude, Mr. Glenn Lagdao, Clinical Instructor, delivered his closing remarks. โWe hope that you will succeed in your endeavor and your ambition to become a registered nurse individually. Rest assured we are here accordingly and legally abide to answer your concerns,โ he stated.
