𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Flowing with routines that transpired from an oceanic theme, the Archons of the COME-CTE-VJSSGS trio dominated the cheer dance competition as they mesmerized spectators in the University Oval, displaying a bravado of stunning choreographies that hailed them the champions, during the Opening Program of the Intramurals 2023, November 13.

To level the Pathfinders crown jewels in the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals, the Archons dropped the latter to 4th Runners Up, while the Vanguards tailed the Archons at 1st Runner-Up. The Executors proved well of a competition by clinching the 2nd Runner-Up spot while the Aristocrats finished 3rd Runner-Up.

Marilyn Broñola Antonio, cheerleader of the Archons exclaimed their victory stating, “We came to cheer and to win with no fear. Champion is a word but for us we claim this and take this as one family, Archons latta!”

“I did not expect that we will achieve this so-called champion because all departments are deserving of the trophy. We gave all the effort, time and of course we will be able to share our talent. Congratulations to all,” she said.

Following an issue-laden cheer dance competition the year prior, the Archons proved that a comeback is far from a fantasy they could pull off.

With the flame of the ceremonial torch fiercely blazing amidst the cheers, the games press on with the Archons gaining a hefty boost in morale, wavering a cheer dance crown on their heads as they arrive in the playing fields.

The gravity-defying spectacles and jaw-dropping aerobics may have come to an end in the first day of the Intramurals, but the Archons, as well as the other teams look forward from here as the prestige owl waits at the dusk of this year’s Intramurals.
