BBO slays during LitMus
Blazing Blue Owls (BBO) under the College of Maritime Education (COME) and College of Teacher Education (CTE) garnered the highest points for the Literary-Musical Competitions during the Intramurals 2019 on October 16-18, 2019.
Intramurals is not only about the sports events, it is also the time for students to showcase their skills in Literary and Musical Competition. Literary-Musical are composed of Cheerdance, Solidarity Dance, Oration, Picture Talk, Extemporaneous Speaking, Vocal Solo, Vocal Duet, On-the-Spot Photo (Sceneries), On-The-Spot Photo (Action), Essay Writing, Pagsulat ng Sanaysay, Charcoal Rendering, Debate, Folk Dance, Contemporary Dance, Ethnic Dance, Hip Hop Dance, and Quiz Bee.
Blue Blazing Owls garnered 1st place in Cheerdance, Solidarity Dance Competition, Vocal Duet, Folk Dance, and Hip Hop Dance; 2nd Place in Picture Talk, Extemporaneous Speaking, On-the-Spot Photo (Action), Debate, Contemporary Dance, and Ethnic Dance; 3rd Place in On-the-Spot Photo Competition; 4th Place in Vocal Solo and Quiz Bee Competitions; and 5th Place in Oration and Charcoal Rendering Competitions.
Stalwarts, on the other hand, garnered 1st Place in Contemporary Dance, Quiz Bee, and Debate Competitions; 2nd Place in Cheerdance, Oration, Vocal Solo, and On-the-Spot Photo (Scenery) Competitions; 3rd Place in Extemporaneous Speaking, Folk dance, and Ethnic Dance Competitions; 4th Place in Vocal Duet, Pagsulat ng Sanaysay, and Charcoal Rendering; and 5th Place in Solidarity Dance, On-the-Spot Photo (Action), and Picture Talk Competitions.
Guardians placed 1st in Vocal solo, Charcoal Rendering, and Ethnic Dance Competitions; 2nd Place in Solidarity Dance, Pagsulat ng Sanaysay, Folk Dance, and Hip Hop Competitions; 3rd Place in Oration, Vocal Duet, On-the-Spot Photo (Action), Debate, and Quiz Bee Competitions; 4th Place in Cheer Dance, Picture Talk, and Extemporaneous Speaking; and 5th Place in Essay Writing Competition.
Tycoons garnered 1st Place in Oration and Extemporaneous Speaking Competition; 3rd Place in Cheer Dance, Solidarity Dance, Picture Talk, Essay Writing, Pagsulat ng Sanaysay, Charcoal Rendering, and Debate Competition; 4th Place in On-the-Spot Photo (Scenery) and On-the-Spot photo (Action) Competition; and 5th Place in Vocal Solo and Vocal Duet.
Builders placed 1st in Picture Talk, On-the-Spot Photo (Scenery), and On-the-Spot Photo (Action) Competitions; 2nd Place in Vocal Duet and Charcoal Rendering; 3rd Place in Vocal Solo and Debate; 4th Place in Solidarity Dance and Oration Competitions; and 5th Place in Cheerdance, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Quiz Bee Competitions.
In line with Literary Musical Competition, Blue Blazing Owls garnered 148 points, Stalwarts: 116 points, Guardians:110 points, Tycoons: 73 points, and Builders: 63 points. With much poured efforts, sportsmanship and showmanship, BBO was able to defend their throne as they also placed first in LitMus in Intramurals 2018.
