Merry Christmas!

I am writing this to express my blood-curdling experience regarding the signing and clearing of my department clearance.

Psychological noise has pounded my mind when our College Student Organization President wants us, his/her co-officers, to prioritize the making of Christmas decorations. Even when classes were suspended, he/she will force us to do so or else we will be fined, a whooping double sanction for every officer.

“Sanak la agsign tun Day 1 ti test yo.”

“Detoy ne colored paper assignment yo, iyawid yo.”

We were staying and waiting late at night up to 8:00 p.m. for how many days just for him/her to clear our online clearances. Instead of reviewing our countless difficult lessons, we were cutting colored papers for the decoration of our college department hallway.

First, our President has decided that we will not compete in the Christmas activities which were organized by the SSC. Second, he/she controls every officers’ opportunity to when will they get a permit. Third, the closer you are to him/her, the earlier he/she will clear your online clearance.

Questions whistled and doubts have popped, do we deserve this kind of leader? That time was meant for us to prioritize our final requirements, but the rule just made our complications worse. We’re very disappointed with his/her actions.

Is it necessary to stay focused with it? In the first place, he/she is not aiming for the cash. The determination to become a winner is not there. The eye on the prize is less than 25%.

The person sitting in the highest position should lead everyone and give attention for the best of the rest. It is essential for an officer to be mindful with his/her regulations because if not, I guess the entire college department just got fooled by his/her words beforehand.
