The College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology revitalized CEAT Week 2023 with the theme, โ€œCEAT Comeback: Leading the Future Harbouring Dreams, Nurturing Minds and Breaking Boundaries,โ€ on March 30- April 1, 2023.

During the first day of the event, a hybrid seminar was conducted centered on the topic, “Coping with Academic Pressures.โ€ Engr. Mildred Ramos, Civil Engineering Department Head, served as the keynote speaker. She led the discussion on comprehending and managing academic stress, particularly for the CEAT students. She emphasized the various forms of stress, as well as its origins and effects on the students. Engr. Ramos also pointed out the importance of being an open person, allowing stress to come and go right away.

On the second day, roaring cheers were heard as the ball games took place. The players showcased their shooting, dribbling, spiking, and setting techniques to the crowd. Civil Engineering Department was hailed as the champion in Basketball (Men) and Volleyball (Women) while the Mechanical Engineering Department won the title in Volleyball (Men).

For the highlight of the three-day event, a Socialization Night, CEAT Got Talent and Mr. & Ms. CEAT took place as the future builders showcased glitz and glamour as well as their talent and skills in pageantry.

Moreover, Ms. Merry Chris Corpuz, CEATSO Chairman, extended a message of hope to her fellow students, encouraging them to pursue their dream with determination. She also expressed gratitude to their parents and mentors.

โ€œWe may not know our future, but with determination, compassion, and perseverance, we will somehow conquer the world,โ€ she stated.

โ€œTo our beloved faculties and staff of this college department, we are grateful for the learnings, patience, and love you have for us. To all of us, continue chasing our dreams, and always remember that the greatest glory is not in never failing, but rising every time we fall,โ€ Chairman Corpuz encouraged.

In connection, the CEAT got talent made the crowd mesmerized by the singers’ and dancers’ skills. The first place was clenched by the dynamic duo, Mr. Nathaniel Simpliciano and Mr. Felimon Tangonan, Mechanical Engineering Students.

On the other hand, candidates from Mr. & Ms. CEAT gazed at the stage with their beauty, wits, and talent throughout the night. Among the 12 candidates, Mr. James Dela Cruz (Civil Engineering) and Ms. Ana Thea Bayudan (Computer Engineering) were crowned as the new Mr. and Ms. CEAT 2023.

Furthermore, the crowd hyped up when the CEAT Ball finally took over and they gathered on the dance floor and danced to the rhythm of the music with their partners. The faculties and students actively participated and swayed their hearts under the moonlight.

During an interview, Dr. Jennifer del Amen, CEAT Dean, expressed how overwhelmed she was to see the cooperation of advisers and students in organizing the said occasion. She emphasized that the event is about the camaraderie among the engineering and architecture students and the faculty members where it featured the student’s talents, which she found astonishing when she saw their hidden abilities.

โ€œI have seen their cooperation from the CEATSO advisers to the officers and their support in pushing through this kind of event. Their enthusiasm made this event possible,โ€ she said.

โ€œThe event aimed to promote camaraderie among the students from the different departments of CEAT and to make them go out of their shells, making them showcase their hidden skills, not just the usual routine of being a CEAT student,โ€ Dr. Del Amen added.
